Tessell, Startup Developing Multi cloud Database as a Service Raised $60 Million Funding from WestBridge Capital

Tessell, a pioneering multi-cloud database-as-a-service (DBaaS) provider, has secured USD 60 million in a Series B funding round led by WestBridge Capital ahead of its plans to expand its market presence and launch an AI-powered conversational database management service. The capital will be used to accelerate Tessell’s global go-to-market strategy and enhance R&D efforts focused on building AI-powered capabilities that simplify, optimise, and scale enterprise data management across cloud ecosystems. The company’s platform can host several different types of data. It enables users to create cloud-based deployments of relational databases such as SQL Server and MySQL, which are well-suited for storing structured data. The platform also supports Milvus, an open-source vector store optimized to hold information for artificial intelligence models.
