Founders Fund, the venture capital firm co-founded by billionaire Peter Thiel, has successfully raised $4.6 billion for a new late-stage investment fund, as revealed in a recent filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The fund, named Founders Fund Growth III, drew support from 270 investors. The filing lists Peter Thiel, Napoleon Ta, and Trae Stephens as directors of the fund. According to a source familiar with the deal, a significant portion of the capital was contributed by the firm’s general partners.
